Peer review: What is the right recall?

This peer review will help Optometrists and Dispensing Opticians explore different scenarios regarding recalling patients for their next sight test, including the correct usage of the early retest codes in England, when to use these and what to write on their records to justify the early recall.

Ace your OSCES: an online workshop

Our new online and interactive workshop will provide some tips on how to approach the OSCES and then will break down 4 different stations to help you ace them. There will be a Q&A session at the end too.
Cases will include history & symptoms, communication, clinical skills and data interpretation (topics such as dispensing and BV!)

Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion: Patient perspective – Do we really know it all?
This discussion workshop will make practitioners think about the range of different patients that we interact with as part of our professional lives and when faced in particular situations, do we really make the patient feel inclusive? When examining patients with protected characteristics it is important to be aware of phrases we may use and how we may need to adapt our interaction. This CPD lecture should increase practitioner knowledge on EDI issues enabling equality in the care provided to patients and making the patients feel welcome and valued for who they are as an individual.
